Instructions

Toast the White Chocolate

  • Prepare Chocolate: Spread white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake: Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Bake for 10–15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cool: Remove from the oven and let the toasted white chocolate cool slightly before using.

Prepare the Milk and Chocolate Mixture

  • Heat Milk: In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
  • Melt White Chocolate: Add 2–3 tablespoons of toasted white chocolate to the warm milk and whisk until completely melted and smooth.
  • Froth Milk: Use a handheld frother or whisk to froth the milk for a velvety texture (optional).

Assemble the Mocha

  • Brew Coffee: Brew 1 shot of espresso or ½ cup of strong coffee and pour it into a large mug.
  • Combine: Slowly pour the toasted white chocolate milk mixture over the coffee, stirring gently to combine.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more toasted white chocolate or a splash of vanilla syrup if desired.

Add Toppings

  • Whipped Cream: Add a dollop of whipped cream for a decadent finish.
  • Garnish: Drizzle caramel sauce, sprinkle white chocolate shavings, or dust with cocoa powder for a café-style presentation.

Notes

  • Iced Variation: Cool the espresso and white chocolate milk mixture, pour over ice, and top with whipped cream for a refreshing treat.
  • Spiced Version: Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the milk for a cosy twist.
  • Decaf Option: Use decaffeinated coffee or espresso for a caffeine-free version.
