Instructions
Prepare the Dough:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
If making homemade dough, follow your preferred recipe. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet, shaping it into a circle or rectangle.
Prepping the Pickles:
Choose your pickles based on flavor preference: dill for tanginess, bread-and-butter for sweetness, or sweet pickles for a unique twist.
Slice the pickles thinly or chop them into small pieces for even distribution.
Pat the pickles dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture and prevent a soggy crust.
Assemble the Pizza:
Spread a thin, even layer of pizza sauce (or mustard/vinegar-based sauce) over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce, adding cheddar cheese if desired for extra depth.
Evenly layer the pickles across the pizza, ensuring every bite has a perfect pickle-to-cheese ratio.
Add any optional toppings, such as pepperoni, chicken, onions, or bacon. Avoid overcrowding to maintain balanced flavors.
Bake the Pizza:
Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes. Watch for the crust to turn golden and the cheese to melt and bubble.
For extra browning, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes at the end of baking.
Cool and Slice:
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 2–3 minutes to set the toppings.
Slice into wedges or squares and serve immediately.
